FULL-TIME EXPERIENCED INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN REQUIRED
UK LOCO requires a full time qualified industrial electrician, to work at their site near Pershore on high quality and profile manufacturing projects. All suitable candidates must have completed a recognized apprenticeship or hold a recognized qualification (e.g. City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ Level 3, ONC) in electrical installation / engineering discipline or a comparable national or service qualification).
The successful candidate shall have a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience within an industrial machine tool / control panel manufacturing environment, and is most likely to have had exposure of producing work to exceptionally high standards.
Experience
Essential
- Working to a high standard whilst achieving set targets / deadlines
- Wiring of extra low voltage AC/DC systems
- Working from electrical schematics with minimal supervision
- Installation / connection of programmable logic controllers (PLC).
- Testing to 17th BS7671 wiring regulations
Desirable
· Ability to mentor less experienced electricians
· Wiring complex DC circuits
· Wiring of air conditioning units
· Installation of wires and cables on uninterrupted power supplies (UPS)
· Wiring smoke alarms and emergency lighting circuits
· Wiring Ethernet, or similar networking protocols
· CNC / Machinery / Machine Tool electrical system commissioning
Working environment
The job role will be based at our engineering workshop in Cropthorne Worcestershire, where overtime is available and expected to be worked on a regular basis. You may also be required to work a shift pattern, and at customer sites on installations within the UK and Europe.
Critical Requirement
For this particular position, there will also be a requirement to work night shifts in central London, carrying out repairs and rectification work, on a regular, adhoc basis, with very short notice (for which a premium rate is paid).
